성경지도 - Explore Biblical Locations on Google Maps

성경지도 (Bible Map) is an Android application that allows users to find the modern-day locations corresponding to the biblical place names. With the help of Google Maps, this app aims to assist readers of the Bible in visualizing the geographical context of the scriptures.

The app offers four tabs: All, Old Testament, New Testament, and Topics. Users can select one of these tabs and choose a specific place name from the list provided. Once a place name is selected, the corresponding area is displayed on Google Maps, with the region outlined for better identification.

In the Topics tab, users can click on a specific topic to view a detailed list and long-press on a topic to access a fullscreen map showing all related place names.

Additionally, the app features a 3D simplified topographic map in the Cross-Section tab, allowing users to rotate, zoom in, and zoom out to experience the elevation changes of the terrain. The Comparison tab compares specific locations in Israel with similar distances in Seoul, South Korea.

For more detailed information, users can refer to the linked websites at the bottom of the screen, which provide additional Bible maps and a place name dictionary. Please note that for ancient cities or locations with uncertain current positions, the app relies on estimated data.
